Carnage reigned supreme on the Clackamas once again! Boats were flipped, couches were paddled and memories were made. Some of it was even captured on film-
AIRE-heads united at the festival and had tons of fun. We also proved to be quite victorious! Some “honAIREable” mentions include:
- Oregon Rafting Team (ORT) paddled AIRE rafts to secure the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes in three separate raft races.
- In the AIRE IK Slalom, Zach Collier smoked the competition in an AIRE Lynx I, while Ben Sigler managed 3rd place in his personal Tributary Tomcat Solo.
- AIRE’s own, Sheena Coles, won the first ever Vendor’s Cup with her husband in an alternative craft we’ve nicknamed a “2CII” (two River Couches, paddled tandem).
Thanks to the organizers, volunteers and participants for making this such a great event. We already can’t wait for next year’s Clack Fest!
If you didn’t make it or didn’t get enough river time at the Clack Fest – mark your calendars June 8th and 9th for the Wenatchee River Games!
River flows are promising and are sure to provide for an epic time on the water. AIRE will be present, along with many other great sponsors. Check-out more information at these sites:
